The Kent & East Sussex Railway is one of the South East’s top tourist attractions and one of England’s leading heritage railways. As a volunteer led organisation supplemented by paid staff, we now have a number of vacancies within the Catering Department.
Your duties will be the provision of a high standard catering service at Tenterden Town Station and/or on-board our trains. You will be part of a small team of staff, both paid & volunteer, with duties to include: table & counter service; silver service; operation of the on-board refreshment trolley; cash handling; restocking and cleaning. You will need to use your skills to maximise sales, minimise waste and deliver great customer service.
Ideally you will have previous experience of working in a customer focussed environment. Previous catering experience would be an advantage, although full training is available.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work quickly & accurately are essential requirements.
These posts offer flexible working hours in line with the seasonal nature of the K&ESR and are paid at an hourly rate commensurate with experience.
